Happy 225th Anniversary to the Supreme Council from Los Angeles Valley Scottish Rite, in the orient of California!

Stated Meeting

Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal

Honoring Past Wise Masters
April 27, 2026 – Santa Monica Masonic Center

The Los Angeles Valley of the Scottish Rite held our Stated Meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026, featuring a special Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal honoring our Past Wise Masters.

This meaningful observance provided an opportunity to reflect on the service, leadership, and lasting contributions of those who have guided the Lodge with wisdom and dedication. It is both a tribute to their legacy and a renewal of our own commitment to the principles of the Scottish Rite.

Additionally, our Wise Master, Varun Dadabhoy, 32°, presented an award to Hon. Charles Cross, 32° KCCH, in recognition of his distinguished service.

Brethren were encouraged to attend, participate, and join in this evening of reflection, fellowship, and continued labor in the Valley.

8° Intendant of the Building

8° Intendant of the Building | April 24, 2026 – Santa Monica Masonic Center

8° Intendant of the Building

April 24, 2026 – Santa Monica Masonic Center

The Los Angeles Valley of the Scottish Rite conferred the 8th Degree: Intendant of the Building, directed by Bro. Steve Resnick, 32°.

This degree continues the great work of the Temple, emphasizing the importance of faithful labor, moral discipline, and the responsibility each Mason bears in building both the material and spiritual structures entrusted to his care.

Duties

Be benevolent and charitable.

Lessons

Benevolence and charity require not only kindness toward others, but the courage to correct our own faults and assist others in improving theirs. Knowledge must not be hoarded, but shared — for what a man knows dies with him unless it is passed on. The degree reminds us that labor is honorable when performed with sobriety, temperance, punctuality, and industry.

For Reflection

Is this life more than a portal to another?

Important Symbols

Triple triangle, nine-pointed star, and the colors crimson, green, and white.

We invite all Brethren to attend and take part in this meaningful continuation of the Ineffable Degrees, as we deepen our understanding of duty, charity, and the enduring value of our labors.

6°-7° – Intimate Secretary & Provost and Judge

March 27, 2026 – Santa Monica Masonic Center

The Los Angeles Valley of the Scottish Rite will confer the 6th and 7th Degrees on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Santa Monica Masonic Center.

Sixth Degree – Intimate Secretary

This degree explores the responsibilities of loyalty, discretion, and peacemaking. Through allegory, it teaches the importance of fidelity to duty, integrity in service, and the noble work of reconciling differences among Brethren. The lesson reminds us that zeal and faithfulness, properly guided, are always rewarded.

Seventh Degree – Provost and Judge

The Seventh Degree emphasizes justice, accountability, and moral courage. It teaches that our actions carry consequences and that true judgment requires fairness, balance, and uprightness of heart. The candidate is reminded that justice must guide all conduct — both in the Lodge and in life.

Together, these degrees deepen our understanding of responsibility, integrity, and the moral architecture upon which Freemasonry is built.

We invite all Scottish Rite members to attend and support this important evening of instruction and fellowship.
