11° Elu of the Twelve – June 26, 2026
Prince Ameth – Prince of Truth
The Valley of Los Angeles invites all Scottish Rite Masons to witness the presentation of the 11° – Elu of the Twelve, an inspiring degree that explores the virtues of loyalty, truth, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to principle.
Centered upon the symbol of the Flaming Heart, this degree reminds us that true Masons must be animated by zeal in the service of humanity and fidelity to the obligations they have assumed. The ancient motto Vincere aut Mori — Victory or Death — serves as a solemn reminder that honor and truth are never to be compromised.
The Elu of the Twelve are known as Princes Ameth, or Princes of Truth, and are taught that truth is among the highest virtues to which a Mason may aspire.
Lessons of the Degree
Be earnest, true, and reliable.
Be the champion of the people.
Understand that life is a school and Masonry is work.
Reflect upon the question: Is Masonry's work ever completed?
