Please join us for our March Stated Meeting
We are pleased to announce that Ill. Rich Nowacki, 32° KCCH, representative of the Supreme Council, will be in attendance to make a special presentation honoring an important donor to the Scottish Rite. After the meeting, Brother Jack Jay will receive a Supreme Council Philanthropy Award in recognition of his generous support.
We will also welcome a presentation from the Jurisdictional Master Councilor, highlighting the important work of our Masonic Youth Orders.
We encourage all members to attend this special evening as we recognize the impact of philanthropy and support for our Masonic youth.
6°-7° – Intimate Secretary & Provost and Judge
March 27, 2026 – Santa Monica Masonic Center
The Los Angeles Valley of the Scottish Rite will confer the 6th and 7th Degrees on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Santa Monica Masonic Center.
Sixth Degree – Intimate Secretary
This degree explores the responsibilities of loyalty, discretion, and peacemaking. Through allegory, it teaches the importance of fidelity to duty, integrity in service, and the noble work of reconciling differences among Brethren. The lesson reminds us that zeal and faithfulness, properly guided, are always rewarded.
Seventh Degree – Provost and Judge
The Seventh Degree emphasizes justice, accountability, and moral courage. It teaches that our actions carry consequences and that true judgment requires fairness, balance, and uprightness of heart. The candidate is reminded that justice must guide all conduct — both in the Lodge and in life.
Together, these degrees deepen our understanding of responsibility, integrity, and the moral architecture upon which Freemasonry is built.
We invite all Scottish Rite members to attend and support this important evening of instruction and fellowship.
5° – Perfect Master
The Los Angeles Valley conferred the 5° – Perfect Master on
Friday, February 27, 2026
at the Santa Monica Masonic Hall.
This solemn and reflective degree teaches the virtue of industriousness, integrity, and the profound lesson that life is uncertain — and that virtue must be practiced for its own sake.

2025 California Biennial Honors
Sam House receiving KCCH honors in San Francisco, CA.
On September 13th, 2025, at the California Biennial Honors, our Valley was recognized with great distinction.
We proudly congratulate Illustrious David Martirez Ferreria, who was coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary, the highest honor of the Scottish Rite. He also had the privilege of serving as the exemplar for the coronet ceremony, a role that reflects the esteem in which he is held by his Brethren.

Hon∴ Sam House, 32° K∴C∴C∴H∴ receiving KCCH honors in San Francisco, CA
We are also pleased to announce that Brothers Sam House, 32°, and Henry Azinfar, 32°, have been selected to receive the rank and dignity of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour (KCCH). At this Biennial, Brother House was formally knighted, while Brother Azinfar, though unable to attend in person, has likewise been honored with this distinction.
This Biennial was especially meaningful for California, as our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Arthur L. Salazar, Jr., 33°, was formally appointed Deputy of the Supreme Council in California. His leadership exemplifies the unity of the Craft and the Scottish Rite working hand in hand for the betterment of the Fraternity.
These honors highlight the strength of our Valley and the devotion of our members. We are proud to celebrate these achievements and the shining example our Brethren set for us all.
2025 Biennial Honors in DC
At the 2025 Biennial Sessions in Washington D.C., our Valley was well represented and recognized with great distinction.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Illustrious David Martirez Ferreria, who was coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary, the highest distinction within the Scottish Rite. His dedication, leadership, and service to the Craft have earned him this esteemed recognition.
We are also pleased to announce that Brothers Henry Azinfar, 32° and Sam House, 32° have been selected to receive the rank and dignity of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour (KCCH). Their investiture will take place later this September, marking a significant milestone in their Masonic journey.
This Biennial was especially meaningful for California, as our own Most Worshipful Arthur L. Salazar, Jr. 33°, Grand Master of Masons in California, was recently appointed Deputy of the Supreme Council in California. His leadership exemplifies the unity of the Craft and the Scottish Rite working hand in hand for the betterment of our Fraternity.
These honors highlight the strength of our Valley and the devotion of our members to the Scottish Rite and the greater Masonic fraternity. We are proud to celebrate these achievements and the shining example our Brethren set for us all.
